Welcome to the BVCC, the Buena Vista Curry Club, Cuba’s first authentic Indian restaurant.

Cuba and India share a fascinating history. In July 1959, when the Cuban revolution was just six months old, Comandante Che Guevara set off on a journey of various European countries, the Middle East, Asia and Oceania heading a government delegation carrying the message of affection and friendship of the young Revolution. Included in the delegation was a heroic figure, Comandante Guevara’s wife, Aleida March. In India, they stayed for two days at the brand new Ashoka Hotel in New Delhi and on the evening of 18th July, Che and his companions were invited to dine with the Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and his daughter Indira at the Rashtrpati Bhavan. During the fraternal dinner, Prime Minister Nehru gave a detailed explanation of Indian food, including the varied spices, basmati rice and the curry tradition. The delicious tandoori chicken took the fancy of the newly married couple, Che and Aleida.

In 2017, 58 years after that friendly meeting, with the opening of BVCC, Buena Vista Curry Club in this historical city, Cuban and international visitors can sample those same tastes at our restaurant, enjoying the best of Indian cuisine in Havana.

We do “Maridaje” as well, with it our team helps you find the perfect pairing for your meal when it comes to cigars and drinks, guiding you through the intricacies of flavors and aromas; and ensuring that your experience is nothing short of exceptional; and they are also happy to offer personalized recommendations based on your individual preferences and the flavors of your chosen dishes.

Let’s not forget about our nights, whether you’re a fan of jazz or have a deep appreciation for Cuban music, our restaurant provides the perfect setting to indulge in the sounds of these genres with live performances that are captivating, vibrant and immersive. On Fridays we have the Cuban All Stars 8 Piece Band from 8pm to 10pm, and Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays we showcase the best Cuban jazz players.

Bienvenidos al BVCC, el Buena Vista Curry Club, el primer restaurante auténtico de la India en Cuba. Cuba y la India comparten una fascinante historia. En julio de 1959, cuando hacía solo seis meses que la Revolución Cubana había triunfado, el comandante Che Guevara realizó un viaje por varios países de Europa, el Medio Oriente, Asia y Oceanía al frente de una delegación gubernamental llevando el mensaje de afecto y amistad de la joven Revolución. Como parte de la delegación fue la heroica guerrillera y esposa del Comandante Guevara, Aleida March. En la India se hospedaron durante dos días en el hermoso y nuevo Hotel Ashoka en Nueva Delhi. En la noche de 18 de julio, Che y sus acompañantes fueron invitados a cenar con el primer ministro Jawarhartlal Nehru y su hija Indira en el palacio Rashtrpati Bhavan. Durante la fraternal cena, el primer ministro Nehru hizo una minuciosa explicación de la comida india, las especies, el arroz basmati y la tradición de curry.  El delicioso pollo tandoori fascino la recién casada pareja de Che y Aleida.

En el 2017, 58 años después de aquel amistoso encuentro, con la apertura del BVCC Buena Vista Curry Club en el casco histórico de La Habana Vieja, la población cubana y visitantes internacionales pueden degustar esos mismos sabores en nuestro restaurante, disfrutando de lo mejor de la comida de la India en la Habana.

Aquí estamos muy orgullosos de nuestro personal, desde nuestra cocina con nuestro Chef Indio, un maestro en su oficio que constantemente ofrece perfección gastronómica y su increíble equipo; juntos, sus creaciones son deleitables y nos han ganado todas esas calificaciones de 5 estrellas en Google y Tripadvisor; siguiendo en nuestro bar, nuestro equipo es de lo mejor, sus deliciosos cócteles les harán volver por más y quedarán verdaderamente impresionados por todo el conocimiento que tienen y lo amigables que son. Y por último, pero no menos importante, el personal de nuestro salón, siempre atento, amable, experto en cocina gourmet, puros y muy versado en el mundo del vino y la coctelería. Y no solo le damos la bienvenida a nuestro restaurante, también contamos con un Cigar Lounge privado y sofisticado con un servicio Sapphire que rezuma clase.

Los viernes tenemos la Cuban All Stars 8 Piece Band de 8pm a 10pm, y los miércoles, jueves, sábados y domingos presentamos a los mejores músicos de jazz cubanos.
